Pros

They paid my salary on time

Cons

I was a technology recruiter when they hired me and gradually tried to get me to focus on and work low level AV roles. One of the owners was trying to micro manage me and was requesting that I doctored CV's and job titles to fit what the client was looking for - this employment was never going to work out. Both myself and another recruiter who had also previously worked for proper recruitment businesses couldn't wait to leave - and so we did.

Pros

chance to make money and learn from good recruiters

Cons

When I first started there were quite heavy KPI’s and more autonomy from Luke would have been good ;)

Pros

I spent 2 sucessful years at Creative Personnel. You are given the resources required to do the job, and they will back your ideas. They were patient with me during my slow start, and soon rewarded me with pay rises once I started billing. I became a top biller at the company within a year and went on to earn good money. This was a good grounding in recruitment, hard but fair. I travelled to conferences in Europe and visited clients in Vienna amounst other places. I now have my own agency and this was a very good proving ground where I learned my trade. If you are billing consistently, the commission structure is good. Beers on a Friday afternoon in the office were a nice touch.

Cons

If you don't like pressure this isn't the place for you. Your sales figures, phone times, KPIs such as interviews and CVs sent are displayed on plasma screens in the office, so there's no place to hide if you aren't putting the graft in. I didn't mind becasue I was first in the building and worked hard. Slackers last about 2 or 3 months in this environment. Management can be tough if you aren't applying yourself, but were always good to me.
