Cons
Too many. Even if you’ve completed everything or you know the tasks are on track and will be finished within the timeline, you’ll still have to stay late because of the so-called ‘team spirit.’ If you don’t get an offer from a Big 4 or any other sizable CPA firm, don’t accept the offer from these smaller ones — you’ll regret it big time. There is no standard for working papers at all; you’ll see 10 completely different styles within the same audit engagement. They barely use any IT tools — the laptops are absolute garbage. It’s super old-school auditing, and the office feels just like a landfill.
