Pros
Strong peer group. Most engineers I worked with were knowledgeable, capable, and good to learn from. There were also a few genuinely passionate colleagues who cared deeply about doing solid work and raising the bar. Benefits were strong, largely because of the Visa backing.
Cons
Senior leadership was mixed. Some leaders were solid, but others seemed more focused on aligning to the broader Visa corporate structure than on supporting the people and teams doing the work. Heavy process and red tape slowed things down more than necessary. Career growth felt limited beyond Senior Engineer or Manager level. Some opportunities appeared to either move abroad or be filled without a transparent process. For new hires, the hybrid expectation tied to central London makes the roles less attractive.
