Pros

Great co-workers. Great customers (sometimes). Loved working with the designer brands. That’s about it. Nothing else. (I’m just trying to make the minimum word count)

Cons

There are so many cons I don’t even know where to begin! First off they are so unprofessional it’s ridiculous! Everyone gossips about everyone! And I mean everyone...upper management, managers, and employees. Second, the Old Town Alexandra location is absolutely disgusting. There are roaches running everywhere and upper management could care less. There is also watering leaks all the time and the basement (that is full of clothes and shoes) floods like every time it rains. The conditions there are deplorable and disgusting. Also when we asked to get our water cooler replaced because it stopped working (and have roaches in it) it took them months to replace it! We have to constantly bug them about it. Third, they are always shorted staffed because they keep firing people. Because of this, it puts a lot of pressure on the staff. Lastly, if you are sick or need time off for a family matter forget about it. I became very ill and at first they acted liked they cared about me and then when I couldn’t show up to work because I was ill they fired me. I was fired because I left early one day and called out another because I was ill. I had never called out before but apparently if you call out once you are “unreliable”. Even if you’re sick!!! And to show how unprofessional they are, they fired me over email. They didn’t even have the balls to call me or tell me to my face. I have read all the bad reviews and each and every single one of them is accurate. This place is not a place you want to work for! Believe me! They really don’t care about their employees...they just care about themselves. They will use and abuse you until either you quite or they fire you. I truly thought this was a great place to work..even with the bad reviews and constant gossip. But they didn’t care about me and slowly but surely it showed. And then when I got ill, they turned their backs on me and fired me. I should of listened to the reviews...

Hey there! We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your time with us. It is truly unfortunate as we have so many wonderful employees and a great team atmosphere. The first thing told at on-boarding is that gossip is not tolerated. Sadly, we cannot control what people say or do at every moment, but we count on great staff to diffuse situations rather than escalate them. Reliability is essential in staff and we try our best to balance the paid vacation and sick leave with proper staffing in the store. Each employee receives paid leave and vacation as well as the opportunity t request time off one month in advance. We've been disappointed in Glassdoor allowing untrue reviews to stay posted, but we understand they want employees to have a full scope of the work environment. Hard working, honest and reliable team members thrive at Current Boutique. We hope you've found a better fit and are feeling better! All the best, Current Boutique.

Pros

Responsible for e-commerce photography of clothing/accessories and digital asset management (naming, color correction, organizing files for post-production). Enjoyed a flexible schedule and clear, routine tasks.

Cons

I loved the job, but had to leave for health reasons that made commuting to the studio regularly impossible.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for the years you contributed to our photography and online store. Your work was an important part of how we present our inventory online, and I genuinely appreciate the care you brought to it. I'm sorry to hear that health reasons made commuting to the studio unsustainable. That's never an easy situation, and I respect the difficult decision you had to make. I'm grateful for the positive experience you had here, and I'm committed to building on that foundation: clear expectations, meaningful work, and a culture that adapts when team members need it to. Best wishes for your health and what's next. Carmen

Pros

If you're looking for a part-time sales or a great landing spot out of college, this could be the perfect fit for you. It's an excellent environment to enhance your knowledge of brands, fabrics, and the luxury goods market. You'll have a blast with the merchandise and the employee discount if you're passionate about thrifting, shopping, and clothes. Personally, I've had a great experience working alongside almost every sales associate and store manager during my time with the company.

Cons

IDK, I wrapped up my time with them in December and I wanted to share my experience (compared to others on this board). First off, the team (co-workers) were great. From day one, I was surrounded by passionate, driven individuals who were always pushing each other to be their best selves. As for management, they were seriously hands-on, always there to offer support and guidance. It felt like having a personal coach. Plus, they were tech-savvy, utilizing all the latest tools to keep everyone connected and in the loop. Training? I was taught everything I needed to succeed and told where to find the answers if I needed more help. I believe pay was standard with the industry but what really stood out were the opportunities for growth and development. They encouraged us to step outside our comfort zones, take on new challenges, and reach for more responsibility. Sure, there were some challenges along the way, but what job doesn't have them? In the end, it was tough to say goodbye, but I'll always cherish the memories and friendships I made along the way.

Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. It's clear you genuinely cared about your work and the team, and that made a real difference during your time with us. I'm proud that you felt supported, challenged, and connected to passionate colleagues—that's exactly the culture we're working to build. Hearing that the training, hands-on management, and growth opportunities resonated with you reinforces what we're doing right. Your contributions to the Clarendon team didn't go unnoticed, and I'm grateful you were part of our family. We'll miss having you, but I'm glad you're taking good memories with you. And yes—snacks will remain fully stocked. Carmen
