Pros

Products at cost price. Nothing else.

Cons

The worst place I have ever had the displeasure of working at. In total agreement with the previous review with regards to the complete lack of any structure or planning. Each morning you never knew what you would be walking in to. It was totally dependant on how the directors were feeling, and if sales had been low the day before it was everybody's fault. Bullying is commonplace if you aren't part of the favourites club. You will get phone calls outside of work hours, on public holidays, with demands for work to be done. Expect a meeting soon after with management if you decide not to do this. Speaking of management, there's some very obscene levels of favouritism between a certain member of female staff and one of the directors. It made everyone else in the room uncomfortable whenever they were together. No targets set but you are constantly told you are not achieving them. They want drones who will nod and smile and have no life outside of work. In summary. If you want mental health problems, work for Currentbody.

Pros

The culture here is genuinely one of the best I’ve experienced, the people are a huge highlight and make coming to work enjoyable. There’s a real team atmosphere, and hard work doesn’t go unnoticed or unrewarded. The office itself is beautiful and set in a fantastic location at Alderley Park, which adds to the overall experience. Coming from new product development roles in larger corporate companies, I’d often felt frustrated by how slow things could move. This is the complete opposite, projects progress quickly, there’s a real sense of momentum, and the industry itself is incredibly exciting to be part of. It keeps things engaging and motivating.

Cons

Really clutching at straws but location if you don’t have access to a car.

Pros

Quick interview process - results were shared almost immediately

Cons

The business is meant to be fast-paced but it only applies to product development and launch not with regard to employee decisions, career progressions, personal requests or development. The business and teams are extremely cliquey and do not have consideration for personal circumstances, health or family. The location is very inaccessible and public transport users are not given any concession, forced to use the terrible shuttle service provided by the business. It is advertised as subsidised but costs the same as a return train ticket to the nearest train station. Senior management pick favourites and it's obvious how some people are favoured over others. This impacts career progression, delivering KPIs and being proactive professionally isn't sufficient, you need to be socially active and extroverted or is considered a negative attitude. Minimal to no benefits. Company policies are not blanket rules for all employees, some people get advantages over others. This can lead to feeling unequal.
