- Great environment: think office dogs, free lunches, lots of snacks, lots of drinks, funky music playing, fun parties, engagement committee, birthday celebrations, anniversary celebrations, team outings, team dinners, etc. - Lots of space: we're in a nice, big building where everyone can have their own space. You like a corner cubicle? Set up in the corner. You can decorate & make it your own. - Location: lots of things around that are convenient (grocery stores, gas stations, etc.) - Mostly friendly customers: you're working in the cannabis industry, most people are pretty chill that you're dealing with. Less angry customers than normal. - Work/Life Balance: they're very understanding when things come up. As long as you're communicating & not abusing the system, you're going to be fine. Follow the rules, do your best & you will be good. - Transparency: the owners are very transparent about the business & make you feel like you have a share in it, that it's partly yours, so you feel loyal to it & committed to it. They share profits, losses, where we're going next, etc. Sometimes transparency isn't possible but when it is, I feel like it's given.

Sometimes with start ups things are changing rapidly. Growth is happening so you have to change direction, add more work to your plate at times, adapt, grow with them. If you're not willing to step out of your comfort zone, not willing to do a little more work than you thought you would be doing, etc. then you might not make it.

While we appreciate the supportive and approachable nature of our leadership team, it is important to acknowledge that such kindness should not be mistaken for a lack of accountability. There have been multiple instances where team members failed to meet their scheduled obligations, either arriving late or not showing up without appropriate communication. This not only places undue strain on those who are present and fulfilling their responsibilities, but also disrupts overall operations and impacts the attendee experience. Respectful and professional behavior must extend both ways—while management offers flexibility and understanding, it is the responsibility of all staff to reciprocate with reliability and a strong work ethic. Going forward, clearer expectations around attendance and accountability may be necessary to maintain fairness and ensure smooth coordination across all teams.
