Pros
Can make your own hours, have interpersonal interactions, potential for growth, you can earn free knives and products during the first week of sales, you can earn free products during conferences, and more.
Cons
Ridiculously long training session happens before you're hired in order to convince you to work there, they have creepy conferences with high energy motivation and "success stories" with high outlying high achievers, the office i worked in was temporary (and looked like it was) and was plastered with posters of Cutco propaganda, was managed by a person who followed the script for management but lacked experience and proper execution, sales depend on a certain type of person (if you don't know that type of person you are encouraged not to sell to your prospect), you're encouraged to memorize a "successful" sales script rather than be yourself, and more. We had these raffle tickets we'd hand out to customers who would put their info on them at the end of the demo, and the raffle tickets were for winning money, and my manager would collect them from everyone and throw them away. he told us they don't do anything with them.
