Pros

Having worked in the cyber security industry for the last 6 years at multiple companies, my experience at Cyderes has honestly been one of the best of my career. When deciding whether to join a company, it really comes down to the quality of the people within the organization. I’ve had the opportunity to meet the CEO and leadership across multiple practice groups, and I have only positive things to say about my interactions with them. During my time here, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside transparent, professional, and genuinely kind individuals, which has made my experience at Cyderes worthwhile. I’ve been in environments at past companies with poor leadership, micromanagement, unkept promises, and a lack of transparency, so it’s refreshing to be part of a company that continues to grow while still valuing its people and creating a positive culture around teamwork and development. At the end of the day, every company is going to have ups and downs as things change, priorities shift, and the business grows. That’s just a normal part of any company trying to scale and evolve. For me, what really matters during those times is the people you work with and the culture around you, which has made all the difference in my overall experience.

Cons

I have no negative comments about Cyderes.

Pros

There are some great and talented folks who work there that really want what is best for the clients. There are also some great senior managers who work hard to improve outcomes and daily life while giving giving their teams air cover.

Cons

The really harsh reviews are accurate, sadly. The five stars are mostly driven by a push to counter the negativity here and culture theater is common. Easier to talk about having a great culture than actually trying to create one. No surprise that the problems start all the way at the top and really does reward being a sycophant. If you talk to former employees, they're pretty uniform in their feedback.
