Pros

The fastest growing data security company in the world, a market that's about to explode (major tailwinds due to AIs reliance on data, maturing compliance/regulatory environment, and necessity for organisations to protect their data in a cloud/SaaS world) and Cyera is on the right side of history with a platform that's differentiated and purpose built to support the requirements of modern organisations. I personally measure career opportunities on: 1. Leadership – 10/10 – founders are in another league, exec team are some the best in business, board/investors have built and been a part of generational companies and fully believe in Cyera. 2. Product Market Fit – 9/10 – do you have a product that's technically differentiated? in a market that's growing? and can you develop into a platform that captures the market? Yes, Yes, & Yes! The market is currently being defined – there's no organisation that can innovate and capture the market at the speed of Cyera – $760M in funding helps. 3. Culture – 10/10 (if you're an A player) – you'll be inspired everyday by the incredible team, customer stories, product, revenue results, and willingness to support from everyone (hands on support from founders/leadership to product to sales to engineering to investors etc). Cyera is moving at a speed I've not experienced in my career – things literally change everyday – however, there is great communication and general alignment across all functions, and a humility from leadership to receive input and learn that I've not seen before. 4. Opportunity to make life changing money – 11/10 – you get the first 3 points right then this is an inevitability. Aggressive comp plans that are designed to massively reward overachievement and the equity opportunity is what should be life changing.

Cons

We all wish we joined a market-defining organisation early (ServiceNow, CrowdStrike, Splunk, Zscaler, etc.), however, building those companies at the embryonic stage requires a MASSIVE effort from every person – roles/responsibilities are irrelevant – impact is everything – will this action help move the company, region, channel, forward. This all-encompassing intensity and unselfishness is not for everyone. The standards here are incredibly high and the business is very data driven. Genuine A-players that want to be a part of something special will thrive. The opposite is also true for people that don't want to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in – there will be nowhere to hide. I would not join Cyera if you don't want to grind and work hard – it's not a large organisation where you can give 80% and coast through the Qs doing alright. WLB isn't perfect but not unmanageable. The workload is significant, largely driven by interest from prospects (new business meetings, POVs, etc.) , channel excitement/education, and events. There's no expectation to work in the evenings/weekends but I do find myself needing to occasionally to keep up with the demand/follow up actions.

Pros

Innovative technology that addresses real-world data security concerns. The tech is very relevant to the current AI landscape and helps accelerate AI initiatives across enterprises in a secure manner. Management has done a good job bringing self-actualized talent into the organization and keeping them motivated. The speed of innovation is fast and it is a place where you are constantly learning new things.

Cons

There are lot of processes in place and some of these need to be simplified in order to make it easier for the field sellers. Sometimes, it is also difficult to get resources due to critical resources in different time zones and dependence on these resources for certain product capabilities.
