Pros
Czero is a small company with a tight-knit group of engineers. Because of its small size, Czero is a very flat-structured organization where everyone gets the opportunity/has to do a bit of everything. I personally like this because I am able to participate in everything from design, analysis, controls, manufacturing, assembly, testing and project management. That being said, if you really want to focus on one particular area, Czero tries to accommodate that as well. Because Czero is an engineering consulting company, the variety of projects varies widely too. Czero has worked in almost every major industry (automotive, aerospace, clean tech, oil and gas, defense, and research). Czero recently purchased their own facility as well. It is certainly a work in progress but they are actively building it up to a fully functional engineering development space with manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and testing capabilities. Overall, I really enjoy working at Czero.
Cons
Czero is a very flat structured organization so if you are looking for a place to ‘climb the ladder’ then Czero is probably not the best fit. However, I think Czero makes up for this with the wide range of skills and experiences I have gained while working here. Since Czero is a consulting company, there are certainly peaks and valleys in the workload. Czero is actively trying to smooth this out but I think this is somewhat the nature of consulting work.
