Pros

When not stressed, some colleagues were great and worked really well together.

Cons

Everything else, micro-management and huge blame culture from the senior team is hugely damaging to the company atmosphere and caused a very common feeling of feeling entirely unappreciated. Multiple people have been signed off with stress and end up handing in their notices. I trust and relate to all the other negative Glassdoor reviews. Do not work here.

Pros

Employees are lovely people who care a lot about product and genuinely want to make positive changes. Are dynamic and will introduce continuous improvements to the processes.

Cons

When I first started there was a positive culture that the orginal company owner and new COO had fostered. However a change in ownership has lead to a less positive culture and environment to work in with fewer benefits than before such as paid company lunches, yearly company summer meet up and remote interactive team activities for example at my time of leaving. Felt like a complete 180 in experience and finding that its quite an "old school" management style and not as progressive.

Pros

Remote Many of the people at the company were talented and dedicated, and their efforts played a significant role in getting the business to where it is today. Recognising and respecting these contributions would go a long way toward improving morale and retention.

Cons

Micromanaging was very prevalent during my time at the company. The software is built on a very dated technology stack, with limited appetite from senior leadership to modernise it. Despite references to newer technologies, most of the platform relies on legacy systems, which can lead to stability and maintenance challenges. This also makes it difficult to justify the cost to clients and contributes to wider technical and operational issues. Investment in people and technology appeared limited. Key knowledge was concentrated among a small number of employees, and when some of them left, responsibilities were often absorbed by others... There was some confusion during the hiring process regarding compensation, as the verbally discussed salary differed from the figure stated in the contract. This was later explained as being due to the bonus being included in the verbally agreed salary. Which I've never seen before... Interesting... Unreasonable bonus targets that, in some cases, were unachievable, as they were reliant on factors outside of my control. Salary was low for my role. I ended up leaving the company for a role with less responsibilities but with much higher compensation. Client satisfaction seemed mixed, and client churn was noticeable during my tenure. There were also layoffs, including capable colleagues, which appeared to follow the loss of clients. The company is *very* remote - we only had one team get together in entire time I was at the company. Some people were unreachable for days at a time. There was internal discussion around the authenticity of some employer reviews, which made it harder to trust the overall Glassdoor rating...
