      - Easy work for starting in retail - Great team members / Had very understanding managers - Trains you on delegating tasks to people / Cultivates soft skills in leadership

      Cons

      - If you aren't a manager or assistant manager, you won't get access to full-time hours (at least in my area, DFW, TX) - Usually random work hours, depending on your other co-workers' availability, but that kinda comes with retail. - You can probably expect to rise the ranks within the company if you work there 3+ years. I wouldn't say to have high hopes in promotion opportunities.

      Good hours (While I was there) Flexible schedule Nice pay

      Cons

      A lot of decisions were made not by management, but by higher ups at the company. Our stock was also decided on by some sort of computer algorithm, so we’d often have stuff in the back we couldn’t put on shelves without stuffing them. Overall, I think I got out just in time because former coworkers told me the hours got so bad that people were forced to go on food stamps.
