Pros

With the amount of growth that has occurred over the last year, it's exciting that the amount of opportunities afforded every staff member remains intact. To feel free to express ideas and given the time to explore new ideas while maintaining the current workload is exciting. The owners are generous and keep abreast of how all employees are faring. They show their appreciation in many different ways. The employees are smart, helpful, and are always given opportunities to shine. It makes coming to work each day exciting.

Cons

It has been interesting to watch the company move from being "small" to feeling more "medium" in size. With growth comes a bit of angst--mostly with lack of space and the knowledge that more people need to be hired. The owners have been addressing this, and are making efforts to ensure that everyone has a proper workspace.

Pros

Feeling connected to the larger purpose of our work. Involved in an important field, at an important time. Kind colleagues, good retention and mentorship. Great leadership.

Cons

My particular role daily tasks could get a bit dull, but that was to be expected and appreciated at the time of my life I was in.

Pros

Due to insufficient resourcing, it is possible to work on many different types of studies simultaneously. So, there is the ability to learn through experience, in a relatively short time.

Cons

Leadership is toxic and burnout is high. There is no appreciation for hard work from leadership, and there are never raises or bonuses given. Managers are overworked and training is often outdated. Data Managers are not informed or adequately trained prior to software changes being released. So there are frequent preventable “crisis” situations that arise; and resolution to problems fall on Data Managers to troubleshoot software bugs. Rather than fostering learning, Data Managers are pressured to squeeze 65 hours of work into 40 hours on a timesheet.
