Pros

flexible if you have another job

Cons

My employer did not pay me in full for a shift I showed up for. I was on the reserve list, but showed up anyway for a 6am -3pm shift ($16 per hour). When I showed up, i mentioned to the supervisor there, that i didn't know if i should be there, but he kept me there, and said i would be needed, so i stayed for the whole shift! He ensured me that of course i would get paid. Well, i didn't. And after back and forth emailing to the DGS accounting team for a few months, asking where my pay was, the boss, Daniel Gagne got in touch saying i shouldn't have been there, and was not going to get paid. He said they would however be "generous" and pay me for 4 hours... Also before this, a few months before, i was scheduled to work til 2am at a shift out near the airport. it was then changed to 11pm, and i ended up missing my ride back, because of this. My boss, Daniel, then gave me a ride home. When my pay cheque came, i had only been paid until 10pm. i emailed to find out what had happened, and Daniel emailed back saying "well, i gave you a ride home, the cost of that should just be taken out of your pay" ..... -not professional -not kind and generous -does not appear to care about paying his employees -total disrespect for his workers -i will never work for this man again

Pros

Long hours yet easy and fun work. You get to decide when you want to get a shift. Founder of company is really great and promotes excellence.

Cons

No company culture, granted we are contract workers, but unless you’ve been with them for years you are not valued.
