Pros

A close knit company that is fast growing and deals with facinating subjects

Cons

Poor morale and a past culture of poor upper management that has caused high staff turnover.

Pros

+ You will find talented people in every department + There are a small handful of great personalities who are welcoming to new people, new ideas and new ways of doing things + Semi-flexible working - nobody seems to care how many hours you work as long as you're in the office between 10am-4pm and you get your work done

Cons

- Management are reluctant to let you work from home on a regular basis. Some staff have managed to negotiate a single day a week working from home, but this is the exception and not the rule. Speaking to my co-workers, regular working from home would be welcomed. It seems like everything is going well now that the team are required to work from home due to COVID-19 - Because of the industry, there's a lot of paperwork that goes with the job (e.g. a LOT of in-house written, mandatory training quizzes. They usually end up getting passed back to you because of outdated documentation or poorly worded questions) - This may not be a negative for all, but Slack is relied upon heavily for communication in the office and therefore it is mostly silent - Management give the impression they are frightened of confrontation, as issues I raised on several occasions went ignored ignored until formal action was taken - Unfortunately, some members of the development team are notoriously difficult to work with, and have a habit of coming off as abrasive and often-times aggressive. This aggression ultimately led me to leaving the job. This really impacts the culture in the office, somewhat more than management realise I think - No exit interview

Pros

Great office culture, great team, great management, great tech stack, great salary.

Cons

Working in Clinical Trials means a lot of paperwork, however the company is working to automate as much of this as possible.
