Pros

Remote work, and that’s it.

Cons

Low pay, poor benefits, no accountability and never ending goals to hit. They give away your work to other teams and then send you home without pay once there is nothing left to process. Managers keep tacking more and more work onto you for no pay increase. Claim they pay you based on merit, but everyone gets 2-3% and they make you jump through hoops for it. Constantly told that your team is “like a family.” So many random meetings where they expect you to bond with people you will never work with a day in your career. Incompetent managers who will never question anything “leadership” tells them to do. You accrue PTO weekly and only see any kind of meaningful amount when you hit the 5 year mark. Can only roll over 80 hours per year, but upper management gives you the hardest time if you want any time off around the holidays.

Pros

all depends who your supervisor and team is. I've been fortune enough to get the best supervisor and team so my time at datavant has been great and easy to work with. i know someone else working for datavant on a different team who has a manager who micromanages and it's terrible. so again... all depends

Cons

leads don't explain much to you

Pros

- Decent work/life balance. Depends somewhat on your team/manager, but I'd say generally that PTO, weekends and taking time for personal or family needs is respected. I also really appreciate the flexibility of being remote. - Experienced leaders who have been in healthcare and/or tech for a while - Good career growth oppties; my manager will often find ways to put me on strategic projects that give me more visibility - Recognition: leaders and HR are constantly trying to find ways to recognize people publicly, give shoutouts, etc.

Cons

- There can sometimes be a culture of blindly executing "because leadership asked for it" rather than first asking why, what's the objective, best way to achieve it, etc. - As with any company that has flexible PTO for salaried employees, this can actually lead to people taking LESS time off. I'd love to see a minimum encouraged amount of PTO, or other ways to normalize regularly taking time off
