Pros

We got a slight bump in pay after the increase in the cost of benefits. I got a Datavant water bottle.

Cons

Merging of systems for email, ticketing, communication and benefits was haphazard. Old Apixio laptops were replaced with Datavant cheaper models. Focuse seems to be on hiring new people from outside instead of elevating current employees. Medical benefits were put on hold for month of January (you can go to the Dr., pay full price and submit the reciept for insurance re-imbursement in Feb.). Merger meetings and Datavant company-wide meetings stressed that Upper-management Bonuses would not be affected by Apixio merger while the regular workers got a new "Datavant" water bottle as our consolation prize.

Pros

Good value proposition with a company that fulfills a need in healthcare. Has potential to be great with leadership and culture changes at the top

Cons

Extremely toxic culture that is focused on money, completing a transaction of going public or selling, without care of what it does to the actual business operations and people. So many good people leave. If you speak up, even with data and alternate ideas, you are then deemed to be negative or not a right fit for the fast moving culture. People are assessed by perceptions, regardless of actual facts. Unfortunately the senior leadership of the HR team has extreme group think and lacks professional and emotional maturity to lead the company's people in unbiased ways.
