Pros

Good teammates. Great products and demo spaces. Very easy to love what is around you everyday. The commission rates are fair and follow industry practices. You can often meet your goals and succeed when allowed to.

Cons

No management. To many this can sound intriguing but in practice having no leadership is often frustrating. You are never given any real direction in what is planned around promotions. When they do share information you find that the product(s) you have been pushing are no longer in favor with the owner and your focus is shifted. You share spiffs and manufacturer bonuses with the company. Generally a 70/30 split in your favor. Sales leads are sometimes kept from the floor sales and handed off to whoever plays golf or makes the owner feel special. Yes it is a very top down run company with very little incentives other than possible paychecks.

Pros

After the ownership changed hands the company is very focused on improving all aspects of how Definitive operates. Streamlining processes, competitive pay and listening to what employees have to say are a few of the changes that make this company a great place to work for.

Cons

Benefits can be tough on people with dependents

Pros

Good vacation package, highly skilled employees, industry leading tech. Great connections within the industry and well respected. Travel opportunities.

Cons

The ownership is also the leader for all decisions and keeps management that administer his wishes. Not much room for creativity. The individual contribution of employees can be often silenced in the interest of unknown goals. Lack of any real growth and resources for training. Promises of growth are not as it seems. Many employees are discouraged from certification programs and education in efforts to grow. You are hired to do what you were hired to do.
