Pros
Made some of my closest "London" friends there. Stayed for 5 years. BDE to manager. Progression can be gained from hard work and sales success. Got to travel all over Europe/US/Asia for work events.
Cons
Basics were low (but comms so strong for someone in their 20s). Management were so focused on margins for the current year there was no strategy/investment for the future. E.g. we'd cut a drinks reception at an event to hit margins then be suprised when sponsors didn't want to work with us the next year because we didn't deliver a good exp/what we promised. Culture was pretty shocking looking through a 2022 lens: v few senior woman, few woman in sales, extremely un-diverse, management didn't invest in people so most good people (in commercial) left within a few years. The ongoing joke when I was there was that they literally had no visible HR dept.
