      Pros

      Flexible with days off/half days with little notice Overtime opportunities

      Cons

      Derrick can be a frustrating company to work for. Hard work is not rewarded in bonuses or raises. You can witness lazy or veteran guys get by doing the minimum, yet the hard working guys go unnoticed often. Supervision can be lackluster or ignorant.

      They are going to basically just ask you to walk through a data solution you have designed and implemented.

      Cons

      Honestly it was a pretty easy round if you have the right experience!

      Pros

      Weekly pay, work parties, bonus checks. They will promote you to foreman without any knowledge or experience.

      Cons

      Nothing but politics. You have to know someone to actually get ahead. If you know someone that means you can stop being productive and still get good raises and good reviews. They pay very poorly but make up for it with a yearly bonus that isn’t really good until you’ve been there a while. Horribly toxic management. The only way you get ahead is by being a cheerleader and a yes man. The moment you think for yourself you get punished.
