Pros

You get to work with different clients directly and in different stacks in short amount of time from fringe, legacy to modern. Wonderful suppurative colleagues. This is a dev agency that also has its in house sass products.

Cons

Waterfall project management system is outdated and hard to keep up with client requests. Minimum support from the management. Needs to pay out of pocket when cases gone wrong. Needs to spend great amount of time on investigation on existing clients due to problematic documentation system. Management is not organized in features planning, performance review (or lack of), pay increased promises or handling client requests.

We have significantly upgraded our ticketing, code repository and other platforms over time to allow for better tracking. It is possible you have worked with legacy client systems at the time. Our management answers and responds in real time and provides constant support. Projects typically go through discovery phase where we analyze and figure out the best technology stack for the application or product being built. We also map out the implementation phase at that time.

Pros

Work from home, “unlimited” vacation. Extremely nice, thoughtful and helpful coworkers !

Cons

I personally found the management and especially Alex toxic. I felt that I was constantly micromanaged and checked in on every 20-30min for a 4hour task to not to ask “hey how’s it going” but “why is this taking so long”. This is a great business tactic because you get workers to feel the same pressure they would at an exam so they stay laser focused at 120% effort, then you replace them once they burn out. It seemed like I had to alert management when I stepped away from the keyboard or took my hand off the mouse. During the interview I felt a very bad vibe but needed a job so ignored my gut feeling. Nothing on Glassdoor helped because i found the 1 review here inaccurate. (their other company Thrinacia also is the same) Lastly, I felt lowballed given far below market average and told “so because we haven’t worked with you yet we’ll give you a probationary salary and after X months we’ll re-negotiate back to market average”. Another brilliant business strategy because this allows a company to pay you much less while they’re burning you out. You have been warned.

This review is absolutely false. We never worked with any contractor or employee in this manner. We sometimes have urgent projects but do not micro manage. However we need to ensure that someone who is working on a long term project or urgent project is on the correct path as sometimes we may discover new requirements or potential problems which lead us into more meetings or discussions. It is better to address such issues before then after a feature is implemented. We are not burning out anyone and never did and do not micro manage projects, these statements are completely false. We have weekly progress meetings and typically during projects being developed we may meet to discuss potential issues, progress and so on, but we absolutely do not go and micro manage anyone. The tone of this review seems very negative and if such person ever worked with us they never brought any of the issues they are referring to, which leads us to believe this is false review, possibly from our competitor. All salaries or contractor pay rates are determined by industry standards and we follow that. We also discuss these in advance with candidates to make sure they are ok with them before they start working with us. We are equal opportunity employer and treat everyone fairly.
