Pros

- Manager was really friendly to our team and me. - Excellent healthcare with dental - Excellent work benefits - Good salaries if you ask them in the interview (I messed this up, and went to Digia with too little salary)

Cons

- No one gets more than 10% pay raises in a year and it does not matter how good you are and how much profits you are making to a company. It makes me believe that the pay raises are hardcapped by upper management. - Expert developers are rare and those who are, usually leave the company in 1-2 years. - Management has too little time for everyone in the team.

Pros

Excellent 401k matching (if you stick around long enough for it to vest) Employer-paid benefits Work with a highly regarded application framework (Qt)

Cons

Crappy work-life balance benefits, very uneven (EU gets 5 weeks of time off, USA gets 2 weeks) Not a team-oriented environment. USA (sales) vs EU (engineering) Sucky IT policies (bordering on paranoid) Cheap on salary. Big split in corporate culture: open vs closed source. Business mission flawed. Work office was often empty, very little team cohesion, lots of passive-aggressive behavior by management and colleagues. Outsourced HR and IT

Pros

5 weeks of vacation (European company benefits) Good medical insurance options Great product

Cons

clueless managers too much politics and high school-clique culture Too much Estrogen in the air No real mission or clear business objectives and long term vision Free product is so good few customers wants to pay for the supported version (like trying to sell extended warranty to Honda owners)
