Pros
Working at any company involves making a personal decision. I chose to join Digivizer, first as a consultant and then full-time, because of the belief I had that the solution the company sought to create would change the way companies could engage with audiences. I could see that it had the capacity to fundamentally change the way public relations and marketing programs would be measured. I choose to remain at Digivizer because that belief, in the vision of the software platform, the success we've had, and the tenacious ability of the CEO to make this a reality, remains. Is this easy? No. There are thousands of great business ideas and most fail. What Digivizer has done is make a great idea commercially successful. That's the biggest "pro" of all. If it were easy, everyone would do it. If it were easy, no-one would ever leave. Pros include: - being part of a team now taking a product to a global market - learning from successes and failures - continually working out new ways to make a difference - working with companies small, large and global on programs that we demonstrate really do work, using our own platform to do so, elevating the measurement of success from "I think" to "I know, here's how" - working with people at the start of their careers, and seeing them develop - working with like-minded people from diverse backgrounds (in every sense of the word)
Cons
We have no corporate owner so we have to earn every dollar we wish to invest, and we wish to pay our teams. Healthy for the soul, but sometimes a constraint. We go hard and we go fast. We do not want to wait. And so our resources sometimes don't match our ambitions. Time wasted on process, however necessary.
