You will be lead to think there is room to grow in this company upon arrival. Unless you kiss up to the right people you will not. SOP is not followed if the results would reflect poorly on management or customer perception. Yet if SOP is not followed by an employee the employee will be held accountable. I have watched many overqualified employees experience burnout attempting move up or into a different sector. Your ambition and drive will be exploited until you are no longer needed. No yearly raises. I have witness at least 4 company layoffs in the past year. One with an ultimatum of moving across the country or taking a pay cut. The others being completely blindsided. All of these were followed almost directly after receiving millions in investments. You will be lied to for weeks by your direct manager and upper management all while they try to get you to pick up extra work before they tell you you’ll be let go. There are more rewarding places to work out there.
