Pros

Flexible, casual work environment with a lot of cultural events. There are people literally from around the world so you get to learn interesting things. Very friendly coworkers. Can get a lot of good experience and can move around to interesting jobs.

Cons

The benefits are mediocre to poor. Health insurance is super expensive and they don't contribute to 401k. Salaries are also low.

Pros

DLS is a highly reliable and pleasant organization to work with. The onboarding process is straightforward, and the leadership and project managers are cooperative, friendly, and supportive. Contractual terms, rates, and payment schedules are consistently honored without issues. Janet Chaou, the DLS project manager in Herndon with whom I worked, is professional, flexible, provides great operational support and maintains a pleasant work environment, which ensures that instructions run smoothly. The organization maintains high professional standards and treats language instructors with respect. It is an excellent agency for contractors who value administrative efficiency and clear expectations.

Cons

As with most contract-based work in this industry, contract employment depends entirely on project availability.
