Pros

- Good hourly pay - remote - no weekends - manager is great

Cons

- no advancement. There’s almost no where to go. This is a good stepping stone job or a place to stay if you’re unmotivated. - Benefits are a joke. They are over 200 a month just for myself. Also, you won’t be paid PTO when you leave. - very boring material

Pros

A lot of recent growth since the acquisition, helpful coworkers and management was usually fun and polite (at least to your face, see below), easy-going small-company atmosphere that often celebrated achievements with company parties, and a good experience to prepare you for the big leagues.

Cons

Most of the new hires are young women who talk about nothing but partying, getting blackout drunk, and boy troubles, so if you're not into that sort of conversation it can feel like you're on the outside of a high school clique. There were a lot of rumors that the investing company planned to sell Discount Ramps after a few years of quickly building it up as fast as they could for a quick buck, which makes sense given that expansions seemed like a higher priority than fixing the broken foundations. Upper-level management had a tendency to talk down about employees behind their back or when they thought said employee couldn't hear them. Laughably minimal paid time off (starting at only 5 PTO days and 2 sick days per year) and no more than 3% raises at any time for any reason.
