Pros

I've really enjoyed the past few years working at Distinct, not only have I grown as a person but my ability as a recruiter has absolutely sky rocketed due to being surrounded by the quality people that make up the team. The clear, transparent and strong leadership that Az & Calds have shown throughout my time at Distinct but in particular during Covid has been very much noted by everyone I've spoken to. They've set an example that I hope to take with me throughout my career as I progress into more senior roles. Shout out to the team managers as well, I always felt like my manger pushed me but also listened to my thoughts and opinion. I genuinely feel like he represented my opinions in senior leadership meetings and always had my back. The biggest pro for me is Distinct's ability to grow and adapt, I've seen several issues raised with senior leadership surrounding things like even bonus structures, pro rata'd targets and incentives for those working part time as well as loads more. Each concern has been listened to and rectified quickly. It's easy(ish) to have a small business with 3 or 4 people and create a culture that suits those 3 or 4 down to the ground but to grow that team to 30 heads and adapt the culture so it's still a great place for all it's staff is a credit to leadership and their ability to truly listen to their staff.

Cons

The flexibility on offer with things like unlimited holidays as well as the lack of kpi's can potentially be quite overwhelming for someone at the start of their career but I know big steps have been taken to add structure when people join the business so they know how to best utilise the flexibility.
