Pros

I’ve worked with this company from the very beginning and have seen how it was able to develop to what it is today. As far as I can tell, this company truly makes an effort to give emts more opportunities to earn a better living. For example, I chose to become a resident emt. Essentially, I work with the hospital staff to coordinate their discharges and run the calls in a timely manner. In doing so, we are able to service the hospital better and build good relationships with them. In doing so, I am able to earn more as an emt and choose when I want work. Along with this opportunity ambulnz has given me, I also see how their innovations have created an improvement in the ambulance transportation industry. They use technology to their advantage and constantly improve their tech to better service the industry.

Cons

Ambulnz does not offer 24 hour shifts so if that’s what you’re looking for, this company might not be for you. Secondly, with tech changes there is also a learning curve that goes with it. It may be frustrating but there’s always someone to reach out to.

Pros

Some of the coworkers you will meet

Cons

As a former employee I would advise against working for this company after becoming unionized Management began withholding proper equipment such as reserving trucks with power loaders/ powered stair chairs for day shift crews despite operational need elsewhere having multiple bariatric pts a night that require such equipment. The company is chronically understaffed, shows blatant favoritism toward certain employees, and distributes calls unfairly. Some workers will sit idle in one spot for hours doing little to nothing while others are sent all over nonstop having multiple calls back to back with barely any time to rest. Poor staffing decisions, lack of support, and constant mismanagement have created a toxic work environment across the board. You will be run into the ground and expected not to question it. The company refuses to address these issues or hire enough staff, and conditions are only going to get worse.
