Pros

- The people here are a lot of fun to work with. Most days there are employees playing board games together during lunch, and you can tell people here have a lot of fun and love what they do. - There are a lot of resources for getting things done: you definitely have to take ownership of your work, but if you have the initiative there are few roadblocks to using the technologies you need to get the job done and tech management is pretty supportive. - For data scientists, there's tons of data to be explored here. The CEO is constantly trying to solve new problems with our data and there's trove of analysis to be done. The lead data scientist is also incredibly experienced in machine learning: You'll definitely learn a lot here. - The company is very tech focused and everyone here is pretty well versed outside of their particular domain. Even the product and content teams are conversant in engineering-speak. - Management is pretty bright and knowledgeable about stats. It's easy to share analysis results with management without getting bogged down with explaining elementary stats, and they often even give good feedback.

Cons

- The office is kind of cluttered/messy (but I guess what would you expect from a bunch of 20 somethings). - Most interactions are via chat and the office is usually pretty quiet, which can be uncomfortable if you value brainstorming aloud with your coworkers.

Pros

- The best part of Dose has and always will be its employees. The majority are headstrong, creative, fun and good at what they do. - Excellent benefits package - Fun company events - Opportunity to push yourself and play in many different roles across the organization, since the company is so small - Unlimited PTO - There is finally a direction and unique offering for the company, which has helped create some stability. More people are hired into roles that they will actually perform, unlike in the past

Cons

- Upper management has always been a mess, is stifling and prioritizes an inner circle. It's created a toxic work environment for many that is detrimental to mental health. Often feels like no one can do the work better than upper management. - The company has tried to pivot to The Next Big Thing in social media like a teenager going through phases in middle school, ending in lay offs, a lack of transparency and identity crises - Employees are overworked, underpaid, and undervalued - Lots of turnover and no hesitation to fire people leads to distrust and a "what's today's drama?" mindset, covered by an excuse like "our company and social media just moves too fast"
