HR have no idea what they're doing - Human Resources EVBox Employee Review

HR sets a tone. And the HR leadership is unpleasant and doesn't know what its doing. They run their department like an American teenage movie high school - if they like the look of you they will be nice to you regardless of how good or bad you are at your job. If they don't like the look of you you will be made to feel excluded regardless of how good or bad you are at your job. Like Mean Girls. They appear to have no understanding of the business or its requirements, they like to enforce rules and stop you doing things you need to do rather than facilitate or try and understand your / the business goal and help you work towards it. They don't let you talk to anyone. If you go to HR to ask a question of someone who is right there in front of you, you are told to go away and raise a ticket. When you raise the ticket they are immediately defensive and often don't know how to communicate in a polite manner or respond to the queries you asked about. HR hires young people with no experience and puts them in roles that they are not equipped to cope with. There are some really nice people in HR but they are treated very badly and are too afraid to speak out. The incompetence starts at the very top and creates a toxic culture where it's ok to be really bad at your job and you can't trust anybody.
