Pros

- Good people work here, everyone cares about their work and performs at their best - Growing company that is being recognized as a top tier engineering firm in their field - Part of their success is the talent present within the group - If you stay late working they will partially compensate you for an order in dinner - Ping Pong table in the office - Recognition for successes - Support for when projects aren't going well

Cons

-They are attempting to grow at a unsustainable rate, processes are not in place, training is left to the individuals, grasping at everything they can get their hands on but don't take into account the path to get there or the stress it puts on their existing employees. -Up to individuals to ensure they remain "billable" throughout the week -Very inflexible work hours schedule (work 50+ hrs by Thursday, expects a full 8 on Friday) -Very inflexible PTO use, personal PTO to be used for sick time, PTO amount uncompetitive for the industry - No female engineers in management positions currently - Culture is becoming lost, expectation is that you are working on billable projects for a minimum of 40hrs in a week (haha 40hrs....). Any time that you spend communicating with coworkers, playing ping pong, or otherwise not actively "billable" is expected to be made up by staying late.

Pros

- Rapidly growing company - Great culture, people genuinely care for one another - Intentional and frequent salary and promotion discussions - Lots of room for growth with the company - Leadership is accessible and willing to hear ideas

Cons

- Rapid growth has its downsides, processes are not always documented well - Solar/storage industry is chaotic so workload can fluctuate - Quick growth means there are a LOT of new people, and ratio of experienced to new hires is lower than ideal - Entry level work can be tedious

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're glad to hear you've enjoyed the culture, flexibility, and opportunities to learn during your time at EVS. We understand that compensation is an important part of the overall employee experience. We regularly review both our compensation and benefits programs to ensure they remain competitive, and we've continued to invest in our offerings, including expanded benefit options this year. We encourage employees to have open conversations with their managers about career goals and growth opportunities. As skills, experience, and responsibilities grow, we want team members to understand the pathways available to advance their careers at EVS. We appreciate your feedback and are grateful to have you as part of the team.
