A very disorganized company - Advisor Effective Coverage Employee Review

Pros

Take all the breaks you want no one will say anything. Call in sick all you want. The perfect quiet quitting job.

Cons

The training and onboarding is horrible. Figure things out on your own type of job. The lie about what you will be doing on the job when you are hired. The managers do not know what they are doing. The culture is horrible. They allow bullies in the work place and nothing is done about it. This company was acquired by the Baldwin Group. The technology is not keeping up with all the acquisitions. The systems always have problems. There are no one on one monthly meetings. You are just a number. I worked there over a year and only met with my manager once. If you like getting .75 cent raises this is the place for you. It doesnt keep up with the cost of living. This was my reason for leaving. Found a new job with a 10K raise.

Pros

CEO is amazing, team environment is warm and inviting and the supervisors genuinely care about your well being. It’s very hard to find a career in which you’re not just “a number” but here it’s like a family. If you’re good at your job you’re not just awarded monetarily but also by positive affirmation. I stumbled upon EC at the very beginning of the pandemic (I was only in office one day before the world shut down) and I’m so glad I did.

Cons

Can be very busy at times

Pros

In five years at Effective Coverage, I've always felt respected and valued. If an employee steps forward with actionable input and a business case for it, they can expect to see it implemented quickly, and to be consulted for ideas in the future. Having arrived here after a number of years in a national telecommunications company, that was a welcome (and surprising!) change. The company has gone through rapid growth and change, but the core values and respect for employees remains. I have colleagues I respect, I have a great work environment, and the work I do actually matters.

Cons

Some people are turned off by the fact that the company focuses on talent from within, which means most people at the bottom position in their respective field. I don't see that as a bad thing, it's actually given me more growth opportunity than I might have had elsewhere.
