Pros

Easy to get in when they're hiring, a few engineers get training opportunities.

Honestly the worse place I've ever worked, culture is the definition of toxic. It would be easy to assume the other reviews are overstating it, but if anything they're understating the problems so that they don't turn into a wall of text. Quick summary: -New CEO is the reason for the title, the excuses about a change in management mean nothing when the 'new' boss was the right hand of the previous boss for 15+ years, and nothing much has really changed so feel free to read previous reviews as if under the 'new management'. -Junior staff constantly blamed for everything, little to no actual management left in the company, everyone half decent left long ago for greener pastures. -Company is using dated methods and technology, riding on past glories only gets you so far and things are slowly but surely crumbling. -Some staff are really trying but they can't fight against the weight of the above and succeed, punishing hours, minimum pay, no benefits outside of statutory minimum and a company working off a CVA means this isn't changing for a good few years. -Contractors, I can't emphasise enough how much you should stay away, I'm not going to name any names but do your research, non-payment or extreme late payment has resulted in the destruction or near-destruction of more than a few small contractors, run a country mile if they get in touch, it's not worth the risk to your business and your family. Give it a miss unless you're at a 'literally can't afford a trip to the job centre' level of desperate, even then I'd think twice as working here will damage your health.

There were no pros for working for this company

Terrible company to work for. It's not unusual for the engineers to be expected to be up on the road at 3am to 4am, drive 3 to 4 hours then do work, then have the 3 to 4 hour drive home. Underpaid and underappreciated sums up the companies view of their employees, everyone is seen as replaceable. There is no real chance for progression Wasn't uncommon to drive 3 hours to a job to find out it was already done. When jobs have been cancelled the office staff have lied to the cilent and when I've turned up on site I have been informed the cilent was told my wife was in a car accident that's why I didn't turn up, when the truth was the office told me not to go to the job. As a whole avoid working for this company, they will grind you into the ground and make you unwell, then complain when you need a rest day. I meet some good engineers in the field but this company as a whole is appalling Sub contractors have been refused payment even when jobs were completed, I know of several Sub contractors elecheck used but elecheck haven't paid them... some are owed thousands This company will drain your work/life balance your expected to work yourself to the bone for them and they won't even give your the contractoral pay review.

Pros

Only one. Some fantastic people who work for the company - shame about the management.

Oh where to start with the negatives. First of all only getting 1 star rating as it website would not allow me to submit 0 and I can't do negative numbers and the "positive review was clearly the MD. News flash no one is buying it!! The management think it is acceptable to not pay staff then lie and say it is a clerical error. Then avoid calls or emails No overtime incentive (in fact no incentive/bonuses full stop). People within the company have good ideas for improvement and growth but are ignored and in some cases spoken down to because of the MD's outdated practices. For example told not to recruit people with tattoos. Poor leadership and management. Certain people only in positions of authority because they either own or are "friends " with the owner. Others are only there because they are very good at deflecting blame. Morale of workforce is the lowest of any company/organisation I have ever worked for. I could go on but in short DO NOT WORK FOR THIS FARCE OF A COMPANY
