Pros

Team-mates are some of the nicest people you'll meet Business does 'events' to involve people and do something different Good stepping-stone - not a long term location

Cons

In the role I was in the job becomes monotonous very quickly. There is nothing offered in the way of making the role more interesting and you quickly stop learning anything new. Career progression is one of their biggest selling points but in reality there isn't any. The business will ask you to fulfil extra duties to fill holes in their recruitment scheme but will not pay you more for this and wil not train you how to complete these duties either. This comes with the promise of an improved role in the future, there is no time bound on this and no clear goals as to what you are supposed to improve in doing to achieve this improved role. - One person got the improved role just by threatening to leave to another company without having done any training. Frequent questions are asked on how the business can improve working conditions - anything suggested will not be taken into account (even really simple changes). And nearly all promises will be broken.

Pros

Ello Group is a genuinely supportive and fun place to work. The culture is collaborative, people are friendly, and managers really invest in your development. There’s always something new happening across our products and partnerships, which keeps the work exciting. If you’re looking for a positive environment with real opportunities to grow, Ello is a great choice. The benefits are a real standout 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays with an extra 5 days which accrues with service a fun social office culture with regular celebrations; £250 to try something new (from learning a skill to doing something adventurous like swimming with sharks!); Pawternity leave (two weeks WFH with a new pet); a paid Make a Difference Day to support a charity of your choice; discounted healthcare through BHSF; free access to our own brand products; and Meals on Ello (£30 monthly for each brand) & Many more! The work‑life balance is genuinely great too.

Cons

Because the business is growing quickly, things can change at short notice but it creates great opportunities to try new things and develop your skills.

Pros

The employee benefits are above average.

Cons

Management is inconsistent and disorganised, swinging between micromanaging every task and leaving the team completely unsupported. Feedback can be harsh and delivered publicly, under the guise of 'workplace banter', it never acknowledges when management is at fault, and any praise is almost always private. Communication and follow-up on tasks is unreliable, leaving staff frustrated and forced to chase answers. Work-from-home arrangements are tightly monitored, undermining trust and productivity. Unequal treatment and favouritism are common, negatively impacting team morale.
