Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on our Glassdoor page. The company has gone through a lot of change in 2015 and we do have aggressive targets, which may not be for everyone. Honesty and transparency is one of our Leadership Principles and is critical to our success. Our Leadership Principles are integral to everything we do and continue to be driven by both our CEO and myself, as well as the Senior Management Team, since they were introduced. We are also governed by strict industry codes, including ISO. Morale and culture are really important to us; I want to ensure that our team always feels valued. I know that we have undergone a significant evolution over the last couple of years and when you expand as rapidly as we have, this does bring new sets of challenges, as well as success. But I want us to continue to address ways to improve team morale and now that the integration of four companies into one is thankfully complete, we have the right people in the right positions to support us into 2016 and beyond. With a clearer focus and less distractions, I’m confident that we will continue to take big steps forward, thanks to the great team we have and the work we will undertake to support the team and our customers, from across the business. I’m sorry Empowered didn’t prove to be the best place you have worked and I really value the time you have taken to share your feedback.

Pros

The camaraderie among most of the workforce due to being in the same hellhole together and trying to get through it. The car park usually has spaces.

Cons

The leadership team are absolute bullies. I expressed my interest to learn some technical skills alongside my existing duties, and the response I got was dismissive, followed by 'power to the people' (I am mixed race and took this as subtle racism and uncalled for. They literally have an attic where they have people cooped up there working long hours, and the management team are very rude. In my interview (which was going very well), the MD was asked to come in and proceeded to grill me, being very blunt and borderline aggressive, to which the person i was interviewing with had to apologise on his behalf. The pay is so bad and if you show any signs of wanting to leave they make up a convoluted commissions structure and expect to you to continue whilst they pile even more pressure on you to work. It's an absolute boys club and they have no real interest in developing or retaining staff, as they will just find other desperate people to take your place.

Pros

Management have no clue what they’re staff are up to Remote working Work is easy but dull

Cons

The strangest company! Bizarre collection of people with the worst personalities, socially inept individuals with giant egos. Management are incredibly defensive (and rightly so, they’re completely useless and will be aware their staff know this) Strange times, the office is a dusty house..
