Pros

- You work with other college students, so you if you're lucky you might meet some really cool people. I met a lot of people I ended up staying in touch with even after I quit. - Snacks to eat, and coffee (but only once a day!)

Cons

- You won't be learning anything. This job they have called a "Business Analyst" is definitely not an analyst role. It's something a 5th grader could do if taught well. Basically you're doing labor for minimum wage. Don't take this if you're looking to get work experience. You'd rather join a club on campus and get true leadership experience instead. - You're being micromanaged, to the minute. Someone is always watching you. When you come to work, you need to say "hi" or let someone know. When you leave, you also need to let someone know. If you're late - let it be even by 2-3 minutes - you're about to have a conversation with the "head" person. There absolutely no trust from the management, they think we're college kids who need to be looked after. - Apparently all the college Business Analyst's were talking too much (wow, we're being social, what a shame!), so they split us up (yes, literally split us up by random) into different rooms and placed us next to people who we didn't know. We had a seating chart, that we had to follow. So the one thing that was fun about being here - the people - was taken away from us. - Not allowed to be on phones - real talk, which kind of startup tech company monitors how often you're on your phone???? - No ability to network. You come to work, you click your mouse for 4 hours, you leave. There's no opportunity to meet new people, talk to other teams, or see if you can try something new. - Very very mundane boring job. Please trust me when I say you can do better. Don't fall for this "Analyst" trap. There's absolutely nothing you can take from this job into other jobs. - You work by yourself - there is no groupwork. You sit alone and do your own tasks. - You "ask" for assignments and they literally give you an hour and date to complete it by. If you don't , they will come find you why it's taking longer. - On the other hand, if you finished it earlier, they think you went through it too fast and it wasn't done right.

We’re sorry you had a frustrating experience and felt micromanaged. We’ve received very positive feedback from many of our Business Analysts, with a number of them moving into Business Analyst Level II responsibilities where they are own additional projects, Category Analyst, and Solutions Engineering roles. Our experience is that the Business Analyst roles provide people with an opportunity to get experience working within a start-up, to demonstrate work ethic and potential, and to help improve the department from within and potentially from other roles within the organization as well. That being said, we’ll take your comments into consideration as we continue to grow. Thank you and best of luck to you!

Pros

have to think about it and figure out

Cons

..a hypocritical vibe, you'd see all kind of people sucking up to the boss just to get what they wanted.
