Pros

If you are willing to put in the sweat and tears, the company will take care of you. Slackers don't last. Management is demanding but fair. There are some exciting new projects that could really cause this company to take off once they launch.

Cons

Not a "kushy" job. You are expected to pull your weight or leadership will be on you pretty quickly. I've seen hires that have turned out to be misfits on the team and then left the organization soon after arriving. There can be ambiguity in expectations for a role (startup life? unique to this company? not sure)

Pros

The product has real potential and could be a game-changer in its space. Mission-driven work that could make a difference if empowered properly. Unlimited PTO (though taking it depends heavily on your team and role). Some genuinely talented and passionate people trying to make it work.

Cons

Toxic leadership culture that deflects blame onto middle management instead of owning systemic issues. Constant turnover — strong people leave or are pushed out, and poor leadership remains. Roles are poorly defined; people are frequently hired without clear needs in mind and then overloaded or mismanaged. Fertility division leadership at the top level is especially problematic — demoralizing and dragging down the whole team. If you’re not part of the inner circle, expect little support and outsized pressure. Teams with high potential are micromanaged or ignored, never allowed to actually thrive. Lack of real decision-making; leadership stalls or reverses course frequently, creating confusion and burnout.
