Pros

Awesome collaborative working environment with SMART PEOPLE. It's so nice not to have to worry about hand holding your co-workers. The culture is great and there are huge growth opportunities (both personally and career-wise.) Everyone gets along really well and works very well together. You can definitely have a voice in this company if you so choose. Flexible schedules and great benefits.

Cons

If there is one, it's that the job is not for everyone. If you are not self-motivated, you will not succeed here. This is not the type of job where you clock in, are told what to do, and clock out. You'll need to be passionate about you position or you won't do well. Everyone here wants to go above and beyond (while still maintaining a work-life balance of course.) If you're not that type of person, you won't like working here.

Pros

- Great culture - Phenomenal growth opportunity, specifically, personal growth: Epicom strikes a perfect balance of autonomy and structure. I personally do not enjoy being micro-managed but still require some accountability (think personal trainer at the gym). Whenever I need help or get stuck, guidance is available. However, I have total control of how I work and am able to plan my days how I see fit. - Every employee has a seat at the company decision making table - Every employee is so smart, SERIOUSLY. Every day I am challenged in a new way, it's impossible to not grow. I've experienced more personal and professional growth in the last 12 months than I did in the 5 years before. - Epicom invests in employee growth e.g. We have a book club with collaborative feedback and monetary incentives, training is provided and paid for, etc. - Awesome office: We have skeeball, foosball, chess boards, snacks, coffee, le croix, and a beer fridge

Cons

Small company: Most of the pros mentioned above can be CONS for some people, be honest with yourself when evaluating the pro's of autonomy. If you're someone who really does thrive best with structure and more frequent accountability, that 'pro' for me would be a 'con' for you. This is a pro that took me a few months on the job to refine, you must structure and plan your days, no one will do it for you.

Pros

-exec team really good about 1:1 meetings -management greatly cares about personal and career growth -willing to help you get the specific career experience you desire -great culture of willingness to help all your coworkers -working here will make you geek out about custom software and CRM (I never thought I would) -great benefits, 401K employer contribution, free snacks, fun games in the office -I've never met a CEO who cared so much about each individual

Cons

Working here has some of the same cons you would get at any small company--there is a lot of transparency and you will get to know everyone very well. The roles can sometimes become undefined; some people have influence in all departments. There is a lot of flexibility and not a lot of structure. If these things don't appeal to you then you won't enjoy it here.
