Pros

Great if you have children and/or want to work from 9 to 5. No stress (except during layoffs). Well paid. Work is not measured, you can pretty much do nothing.

Cons

Most of the products and/or technologies (except maybe for Radio Based Station) is outdated and/or irrelevant. Process oriented culture: The amount of processes in some units is so dense that one does not need to think, and prevents any sort of changes. In short, the company is incapable of adapting to new paradigms like Agile, or Cloud, or devops. Meetings, meetings and more meetings to plan another meeting. Everyone is a resource. As long as you are a X then you are paid Y and do Z. Being good or bad is more or less irrelevant as most get the same pay raise. No real management of people. HR has a strategy to "start hiring smart people" in 2015 -> yes, it is that bad. Most competent people have left, the few remaining are leaving as they just cant do any work. HR is completely oblivious to what is happening inside the company, all metrics and kpis are set to measure the desired values. Cost efficiency is about reducing costs by moving jobs to India because it is hourly cheap to do so.

Pros

-Technological superior to most other companies with use of AI and promising future tech/programs -benefits and pay are very competetive -room for professional growth and advancement if you know how to work in a corporate environment -resume development and professional advancement

Cons

-leadership ideology doesnt match the company/CEOs mission statement or belief (company is said to be all for safety yet leaders get put in charge and quickly dismantle and lay off 3 quarters of the safety department) -Leadership changes structure to benefit themselves by having all support functions report to them instead of the CEO, this ensures all support functions take a back seat to production and financial gain to include their employees well being -Company restructured and reorganizes very often while showing no loyalty to the employees who work hard and want to stay, this leads to turn over of great employees.
