Pros

ability to work from home good benefits

Cons

I've never felt compelled to write a review on Glassdoor before, but my experience at Evolve has been so dreadful that I feel a moral obligation to warn potential employees. This company is a textbook example of how not to run a business. I've had the misfortune of witnessing firsthand the complete train wreck that is Evolve, and it's nothing short of a nightmare. Let's start with the CEO, Brian Egan. To put it bluntly, he's either grossly incompetent or an outright liar. Every time he opens his mouth, he spins new stories, and it's nearly impossible to discern if he genuinely believes them himself or if he's just trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes. The lack of transparency is appalling, and it's clear that he has not surrounded himself with intelligent, experienced people who could help steer this sinking ship. The senior leadership team is equally culpable in this corporate catastrophe. They hide behind a veil of vague messaging that allows them to pull the rug out from under their employees at any moment. They refuse to take responsibility for their poor decision-making and seem utterly incapable of admitting when they've failed. This toxic culture trickles down throughout the organization, creating an atmosphere of fear and distrust. Financially, Evolve is a disaster waiting to happen. The company is bleeding money like a severed artery, and it's not difficult to see why. Outdated processes and product tools are the norm here, hindering productivity and efficiency at every turn. It's as if the leadership team is stuck in the past and refuses to adapt to the rapidly changing market. If the financial woes weren't enough, Evolve has had two mass layoffs within a mere three months. The future of the company is shrouded in uncertainty, and employees are constantly living in fear of losing their jobs. It's a toxic work environment that takes a significant toll on the mental and emotional well-being of its staff. To add insult to injury, Evolve is cutting teams and offshoring work in a blatant attempt to pay employees as little as possible. The disregard for the livelihoods of its workforce is shameful and morally reprehensible. If you're considering a job at Evolve, I suggest you think twice. This is a company in complete disarray, led by a CEO who either doesn't know what he's doing or is intentionally deceiving everyone. The toxic culture, financial instability, and lack of respect for employees make Evolve a place you should steer clear of at all costs. Your career and sanity deserve better than this sinking ship.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re saddened to hear that you feel we have disregarded the livelihoods of our teammates, as that truly could not be farther from the truth. Our teammates are our only path to success as a company and we have always done our best to be transparent and open about the health of our business, and communicate the “why” behind decisions that have been made. We understand this does not change your experience, but we believe this has positioned our team to have a greater understanding of our strategy moving forward, which is entirely necessary for our joint success. We remain confident in the leadership we have guiding us through these changes and while extremely difficult, know that the decisions made this year have been the right ones. Thank you again for sharing your experience and we wish you the very best moving forward.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that remote flexibility, culture, benefits, and the role itself are standing out. We hear your concern about pace. We move fast because what we're building for our customers requires it. But we also recognize that speed has to be paired with clarity, and we want to ensure that when we move, we're bringing people along. We encourage you to bring your feedback to your leader, People Business Partner, or a Coffee & COHAD session with leadership.

Pros

My co-workers and managers were some of the most talented, knowledgeable people I have ever worked with. The pay was pretty good.

Cons

There are too many to name, honestly. Read through all of the negative reviews and understand that they are all accurate descriptions of what it is like to work for Evolve. Upper management has created an extremely toxic and stressful workplace environment. As I stated previously, there are too many cons to list them all but these will give you an idea: micromanagement, mulitple shift bids per year, constant changes in SOPs and metrics, fear of losing your job at any time (multiple RIFs, downsizing and consistent firings of multiple people at once), metrics that are very difficult to reach, back-to-back calls from angry guests and owners and not enough time given to resolve issues, not enough staff to handle the workload, no clear path to growth opportunities, and the list goes on. I am a positive person who can handle stressful, escalated situations in high performance positions. However, this company's culture of constant change and upheaval, that they dress up as high performing and obsessed with customers, creates a whole new level of stress and workplace dissatisfaction. As someone else mentioned in another review, they are actually asking people to come here and leave a good review to try and balance all the negative reviews that have been left. When they say on their own career site that it is not for everyone, believe them.
