Pros

The company was doing great things until the end of 2022, I can't say there are ANY pros in working for Evolve any longer.

Cons

Lack of security in your position or room for growth within the company - There have been 2 major layoffs (both reducing company size by about 20%) in the last 6 months. They are no longer hiring for new positions and therefore there is nowhere to move to, even within the company Likely to be let go and replaced by someone cheaper - The most recent Reduction in Force (RIF) resulted in the removal of a couple of entire teams from our workforce. Evolve opted to replace one of those teams with "Workforce Augmentation." To my understanding this team is not US based. This basically means the workforce is cheaper, but according to Brian Egan (Co-Founder & CEO of Evolve) this is "not about choosing money over people." Increases in workload with a refusal to adjust compensation to account for such - One of the other teams removed has had a DIRECT impact on my position and the responsibilities of my role. An increase of workload and difficulty keeping up is now on the table for me

We’re sorry to hear this has been your experience and would like to provide some clarity in an effort to relieve some of your concerns and frustrations. While we understand that the recent RIF has had a significant impact on all Evolvers, providing opportunities for growth for all of our teammates remains a top priority of ours as we are currently hiring for new roles based on business and customer needs. We encourage you to stay updated on our internal job board to apply for any roles that you may be interested in. Additionally, while we may ask teammates to take on a larger variety of tasks, we strive to ensure workloads do not increase and will continue to increase support to meet demand as needed. Please do not hesitate to speak with your manager regarding any overwhelm you are experiencing so that we can work together to make any necessary changes. We sincerely appreciate all of our teammates' flexibility and adaptability during this time of growth and change and are here to support you to ensure a successful and healthy work environment for you moving forward.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that remote flexibility, culture, benefits, and the role itself are standing out. We hear your concern about pace. We move fast because what we're building for our customers requires it. But we also recognize that speed has to be paired with clarity, and we want to ensure that when we move, we're bringing people along. We encourage you to bring your feedback to your leader, People Business Partner, or a Coffee & COHAD session with leadership.

Pros

My co-workers and managers were some of the most talented, knowledgeable people I have ever worked with. The pay was pretty good.

Cons

There are too many to name, honestly. Read through all of the negative reviews and understand that they are all accurate descriptions of what it is like to work for Evolve. Upper management has created an extremely toxic and stressful workplace environment. As I stated previously, there are too many cons to list them all but these will give you an idea: micromanagement, mulitple shift bids per year, constant changes in SOPs and metrics, fear of losing your job at any time (multiple RIFs, downsizing and consistent firings of multiple people at once), metrics that are very difficult to reach, back-to-back calls from angry guests and owners and not enough time given to resolve issues, not enough staff to handle the workload, no clear path to growth opportunities, and the list goes on. I am a positive person who can handle stressful, escalated situations in high performance positions. However, this company's culture of constant change and upheaval, that they dress up as high performing and obsessed with customers, creates a whole new level of stress and workplace dissatisfaction. As someone else mentioned in another review, they are actually asking people to come here and leave a good review to try and balance all the negative reviews that have been left. When they say on their own career site that it is not for everyone, believe them.
