      Pros

      Some talented and supportive colleagues who made the day-to-day slightly more bearable. You’ll develop a thick skin and learn how not to run a recruitment business.

      Cons

      Extremely toxic culture driven from the top down. The CEO’s behavior created an atmosphere of fear, instability, and constant blame. Unrealistic KPIs and targets with little to no real support. Constant micromanagement and public criticism — even small mistakes were exaggerated. Very high staff turnover, which says it all. No genuine investment in people’s development — only results, regardless of how they’re achieved.

      Started off as junior member and have been promoted to manager over the last 6 years good company, lots of training and mentoring, supportive management and CEO.

      Pros

      I’ve had a positive experience working at Excel Recruitment. The team is genuinely supportive and easy to work with, and everyone gets on well across the office. Management are approachable and trust you to get on with things, but are there if you need help. It can be busy at times, which comes with the territory in recruitment, but it also means you’re constantly learning and developing. Overall, it’s a good environment to work in and you feel like your effort is recognised.

      Cons

      It can be fast-paced at times, but that’s part of the nature of recruitment.
