Pros
The camraderie between the normal employees and most of management is wonderful and you will learn a lot. Granted you'll learn it on the fly so you must be quick to adapt. Your coworkers will be friendly and welcoming
Cons
It's easy to get caught into the "family atmosphere" and feel like you belong there only to be let go. They frequently fire people, some with good cause, some for pettiness (I was someone who was let go however I'm not bitter about it, it's not my company and they can fire whomever they believe doesn't fit but it's a revolving door of lower level technicians that are generally looked down upon by the rest of the company and they are out of touch with the reality of how things actually play out. The owner is an exceptional person and I respect him. There is a "boys club" that decide who stays and who leaves. They are quick to pull the trigger on firings. Middle management is an issue and the communication between them and the rest of the company is poor as is the communication between teams
