Pros

I would say pro to the program is that when they tell you advancement is possible, it actually is possible. Just not probable

Cons

As you go through the interview process, any questions you ask will be turned back into a question to you or will be answered in such a way that makes you feel dumb for asking (for example: Are there benefits? answer: just like other companies have a probationary period, so do we and that's the first 6-9 months of our training program, after that the executive coordinator gets to choose the benefits they want.) The real answer is: there are no benefits, the work is fully commission based. If you don't make a sale (they phrase it as marketing because we don't care if a customer says no...the truth is, if it were really marketing you would get paid based on marketing, not minimum wage if you don't hit your number for the day. You pay for your own gas and your own food, you regularly get very little sleep. They aren't actual events. You get NO control over what your event is, but it's phrased in such a way that "we're in the biggest retailers in the world" so it seems logical and fancy. It's true the location is nicer than standing outside, but truthfully, it isn't worth the stress. They say the timeline for becoming an owner is 9 months max....most people I saw actual make it, made it far beyond that 9 month marker...For me, losing sleep, missing out on family, having no money, wasn't worth it. Just to afford working there, I racked up $2000 in credit card debt struggling because I was dumb and thought the plan would work. It doesn't. There are roughly 5 people who are made out to be glamorous and have the world in this business...5 out of over 5000 who do this job. Yeah, those people exist, yeah they are the ones hung in front of your face to become, but truthfully, just know that if you AREN'T okay giving up EVERYTHING you are used to in life (money, family, friends, personal time) please, don't waste your time with this business. Oh yeah, and btw, they were lying to you from your very first interview call (we only have a few spots, last day for interviews, etc.) that isn't true. They interview people EVERY SINGLE DAY! If you aren't looking for sales, and you don't want to be able to pay your bills, and you don't want to do anything else with your life for the next 2 years, and you are okay with people lying to you and lying to other people...this job is for you.

Pros

I went into the interview at Exposure Events and was given an opportunity. The team at Exposure Events is so supporting and motivating. I have grown so much personally and professionally within the months I have been here. Not to mention the travel opportunity! So far in the few months I have been with the company, we've been to the Bahamas, Dallas, Denver, Chicago, California and more. Everyone has the same opportunity and determines their own success in the business. I look at it as getting paid for top notch business and marketing school! I have a double major in business and marketing and I have not learned nearly close to the amount I have learned with Exposure.

Cons

Some of the challenges working here are the hours, especially when not understanding the opportunity or sometimes forget about the opportunity. Everyone's biggest challenge is being able to switch from an employee to entrepreneur mindset. I soon realized it's putting the time in now for time later. Also, no one is alone through the challenges. To be honest, the challenges are what make the positives that much more rewarding.

Pros

Gaines some experience in HR

Cons

this company lies to make people think they are being hired for a different job than they are. They advertise under many different names. They also did not pay me once I put in my notice
