Pros

FC allows and encourages personal growth. This is not structured, you have to identify and forge it for yourself, which I loved because it made me really think, ask questions, learn and achieve. I'm passionate about the work I do, because I achieved it, and FC supported when I needed/asked for it. There are times of feeling stagnant in my career and friends were progressing, but now...perseverance has propelled my career far above those of my friends and peers. What I've learnt about business is vast...so much so that I can advise friends who are management consultants, what they should do with their clients, irrelevant of industy. Couple that with a competitive salary and excellent social atmosphere...this place is the best.

Cons

If you like structure, direct guidance and constant positive feedback - not the place...silence is positive. Which I loved as it encourages independent thought and action. There is a lack of structure and obvious career progression...so if you want to be given a promotion after x years, and another after y, this is not the place...but if you want to learn, think for yourself with guidance when needed...this lack of structure works perfectly...and is in place to entice the type of person who wants to think for themselves.

Pros

If you have the drive to succeed and don't have the brains to go into consulting, the work can be interesting.

Cons

Too much focus on getting conference producers to juggle millions of balls, then no suprise when certain balls slipped. I was continually encouraged to do my own telesales, adding further pressure to someone on the verge of burning out. Felt like they didn't have enough expertise in anything to grow the company and relied on using employees to throw things at the wall and see what stuck. Before I left I felt that a lot of the companies divisions were sinking and there was no shared strategy.
