Pay was nice I guess

Unfortunately, staring at AVI Systems, I was expected to come into a position I was upfront that I hadn't had experience in and was expected to become a pro with low-quality training. The opinion of the individual that trained me poisoned my entire employment at AVI Systems. Management is incompetent and the best days, weeks, and months are when they don't contact you at all. Every site I ever worked at had a negative opinion of AVI, making your mistakes much more prevalent in the minds of the clients you work with. Uses impractical and frustrating systems to keep track of time sheets and expenses that feel disjointed, require whole days to train on, and all employees except management strongly dislike. AVI overestimates the value of their ESOP benefits and has awful benefits overall.

Pros

Very friendly and helpful peers. Employee ownership is a true benefit financially and culturally, there is a true sense of ownership top down.

Cons

Poor work life balance, management micro-manages activity and hyper critical. Onboarding was slow and somehow there was still expectation for high activity.
