Pros

My peers were always incredibly helpful, friendly, and even since leaving there are several I would still consider friends. Plenty of times where those same people would go above and beyond what they should to help you out, especially when it came to crunch time on projects. Vacation in the sales role was generous enough, gave you plenty of time to reset if you were able to.

Cons

The benefits were mediocre, mostly very high deductible and the ESOP is only truly great if this is a place you plan to stay for the remainder of your career. Pay was on a similar scale, where competitors are paying more, but you aren’t getting payed poorly, either. Hiring for support roles was always a chicken and egg situation, as well, as they needed sales to go higher to support the headcount, but then couldn’t get sales higher without it. Management doesn’t really care to solve problems, just wanted revenue every single month. No understanding that large deals take time and approval processes are more complicated. Micromanagement was rampant from top to bottom. Work from home was nearly non existent as a result, even though we were supposed to be able to do so for some of the time. Training was laughable, at best, and required you to ask for help from coworkers until you learned a way to do it, which might not even be the “correct” way. This may have changed.

Thank you for highlighting our ESOP - I am the biggest cheerleader of it because it is amazingly popular with the majority of our employee owners - even employees starting with a half year of tenure begin reaping huge rewards! I just wish other companies would follow suit and become 100% employee owned. Jeff Stoebner

Pros

Very friendly and helpful peers. Employee ownership is a true benefit financially and culturally, there is a true sense of ownership top down.

Cons

Poor work life balance, management micro-manages activity and hyper critical. Onboarding was slow and somehow there was still expectation for high activity.
