Pros

It was low stress environment if the owner wasn’t in a bad mood at the deli. Catering was okay as we moved around a lot and it was okay extra money.

Cons

I hope things have changed since..the owner wasn’t kind. Would yell at her cooks and it was a small space so you could hear it in the front..asked if I was stupid in front of a customer over a POS issue I was having..I quit shortly after. If I had been there longer and had an issue I may have been less taken aback of their rudeness.

Pros

small company, community driven, opportunity to interact with local up and coming restaurants. pay was somewhat competitive but not based on experience. company parties and bonuses.

Cons

removed the free food perk, only pays 50% of health, work load is variable, obligations are variable, took more than a year to purchase a vehicle that was suitable for the job while driving what I would call a sub standard unsafe vehicle. very few employees over the 2 yr mark (turnover). sometimes asked to sell substandard product while instructed never to do so. owners showed little drive to try and add structure or refine the process of distribution.
