Minimal training Double standards for head office employees and store employees No incentive or bonus for achieving store budget. No pay rise if you are moved to a busier store. If you were hired for a quiet store, and moved to a busier store, your pay will remain the same. Very reluctant to give 'Person in charge' or 2IC contracts to staff, even though they act in such a role already. Store Managers required to work every Saturday, very inflexible when wanting to take time off. Koreans get promoted a lot quicker than other races. Lots of Area/Regional Managers have not worked full day at store level, therefore, unrealistic goals are set in place. Some also do not have the experience or qualifications to be in such a role. No discount to casual staff No Part-time roles Stores shut down often with only 1 month warning. So who knows if you'll still have a job by the end of the month. Company are not prompt to fix maintenance issues. You work as a 2IC without being paid as one. Not enough hours are allocated to stores, then you are questioned on why tasks aren't completed and why there is a lot of theft in store. One member in upper management once gave me this advice: "If the staff aren't performing, just fire them. They're casuals anyway" One area manager can have from 15 - 20 stores to look after, so you do not get the proper support from upper management. No Christmas bonus, or appreciation from Head Office. You will have to pay for your own Christmas party (If you want one). Just an email to say "Merry Christmas". No appreciation for the hard work put into the busiest time of the year. Head Office don't listen to feedback given about how to improve the store. If they do, its either they think it'll cost too much money, or don't bother to take action
