Pros

A full insurance package is offered. Half days on Fridays if your lucky enough to be able to leave by then.

Cons

This is the most unethical company I have worked for or dealt with. The upper management does not care about the employees. They are rude and take advantage of the talents of the people who make the firm what it is. Pay is among the worst in the industry and overtime is over the top, unpaid of course. Constant berating for going over time allotted to work on a project even though that time is unreasonably low to begin with. Get yelled at multiple times a week and constantly get told what you doing wrong-never get kudos for the many things you do right. The worst and most hurtful thing is the CEO always claims credit for successful designs even if she didn't work on them at all. But if a client is unhappy, she will not go to bat for you and actually degrades you and blames everything on you to make herself look better. The funny part is clients do not like her, and they are starting to see this company and its owner for what it really is. This company is tanking. People quit and are fired left and right but no one new is hired. Run while you can and do not hire these people. It will make you sick to your stomach when you learn the truth about what goes on behind the scenes.

Pros

Little to no overtime. Easy projects. Elevated sense of design for some projects. Excellent work life balance and awesome healthcare dental benefits. CEO is passionate about helping the less fortunate and will encourage employees to contribute to worthy causes. Generally pleasant colleagues with several people having tenure. Great view of highland park and downtown Dallas from every angle in office. Lots of employee appreciation events. CEO preaches gratitude and encourages others to self reflect on positives of work and life.

Cons

Upper management, with exception of one director and CEO, difficult to work with. Some of the ‘fun’ activities are a little odd to see in corporate environment, such as sharing hotel rooms with other employees. Technology outdated, with support outsourced and activity closely monitored to prevent an unlikely scenario of corporate espionage. No remote work capacity. Extreme paranoia about employees having samples of work for portfolio even when a written request is made. Some projects are great examples of mass produced recycled designs. Frequent employee turnover, likely due to factors above. Not much room for vertical career growth and salary increases, likely because that money is allocated to employee appreciation events, odd ‘fun’ events, and lavish lifestyle of C-suite.
